Folch Studio, the design studio founded by Albert Folch, graduated from ESDI, sign graphic design of "Strange Plants", that last October 17 was awarded with the Gold for its Editorial Design in ADCE 2015 Awards, the European design and advertising awards. The book has already been awarded a Gold also in the Laus Awards 2015. In "Water Lilies" by Monet to the "Flowers" by Andy Warhol, plants have been a subject of constant interest to artists. "Strange Plants", the first title of Zioxla, the new art book publisher based in Los Angeles, is a celebration of this relationship: a mix of in-depth interviews with photography, paintings and sculptures by established and emerging artists, the book explores the roles played by plants both in the creative process and in the personal lives of the artists.Based in Barcelona, Folch Studio, authors also of the magazine Apartmento, committed in all aspects of design and production of "Strange Plants" and created a delicate touch cover inspired by the ritual of pressing and dry flowers in a book . Each book comes with a sheet of six stickers that readers use to create their own decks.
