The possibility of a wireless future, in which user’s mobility is not compromised by connectivity, is one of the fundamental pillars of Smart Design. In order to follow that line of work and as a part of its Smart impulse policy, ESDi presented its new Smart bench for mobile recharge, installed on the first floor of the school. Through the incorporation of Qi technology, the bench, designed and developed by a multidisciplinary team composed by the FUNDIT Direction, the Product Unit and the Infrastructure and Workshops service, generates an electromagnetic field that permits the transference of energy to the mobile devices through two transmitters installed on the benches, branded like white circles. In order to be able to use it, the users must have smartphones with Wireless adaptors or must own one of the following mobile devices, which incorporate the necessary technology: Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+, S7, S7 Edge, S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+, Note 8, 5, Nexus 4, 5, 6, 7, Moto 360 Watch, Google Pixel, Pixel XL, LG G6 with UniQi, iPhone X, 8, 8 Plus, 7, 7 Plus, 6S, SE, 5, 5C, 5S with iQi. The students or professors that don’t have any of the aforementioned models can solicit wireless adaptors for iPhone, Samsung or BQ at the school’s reception.
