Sustainable mobility in the city and the potentialities of the electric bike are the keys of the agreement between the Higher School of Design ESDi and the company emobike, which will promote the creation of a referential center within Catalonia and the implication of the Product and Multidisciplinary Integration students. The center, “CEX Bike”, will be destined to the design and development of top of the line products and services, as to the resolution of technological problems in order to augment and ameliorate productivity. ESDi, in this sense, will work towards the development of a Living Lab Bike, an experimentation space for products, processes and solutions. Within the classrooms, 4th Course students of the Degree in Design, Product mention, will consider the current and the potential user of the electric bike in order to analyze and design improvements in the user experience. On the other hand, 3rd and 4th Course students from Multidisciplinary Integration will promote an investigation project in which they will propose new possibilities for using the bike, and also for segmentation, development and business model. As a part of the synergy, the company installed an electric bike and a recharge spot in the school so that students can get to know their new study object thoroughly.
